Stroke (Hemiplegia) Stroke is otherwise called as cerebrovascular
accident (CVA). It is brain attack like heart attack due to
diminished blood circulation to the brain or a part. The lack of
blood circulation to the brain is due to
 Blood clot blocking the blood vessel(s) –
Ischemic stroke is a common type of stroke.
Blood bleeding in the brain from busted or
leaking blood vessel cause stroke called as
Hemorrhage stroke.
All this types of brain damage leads to brain cell
death results in person in lose of control in certain
functions suck as movements of the limbs,
problems with eating and swallowing, speech,
memory and understanding problems.

Warning Signs:
Sudden severe headache followed by weakness
in the body or body part - main on one side of the
body.
Vision problems: Blurred or double vision
Drowsiness and vomiting
Understanding and speech problems
Loosing balance

Rehabilitation is a very important part of
recovery for many stroke patients. Stroke
rehabilitation is aimed to help the patients
restore the optimum functional activities and
return to independent living.
